 Gauge: 32 sts and 24 rows = 4” [10 cm] in Garter Stitch after wet blocking

Materials

Yarn:

Super Fine Weight Yarn Green Mountain Spinnery Sock Art-Meadow (50% superfine kid mohair, 50% fine wool; 400 yards [366 meters]/100 grams): Sunny (2 skeins)

Needles: US size 7 (4.5 mm) straight or 24” circular needles

Notions: Markers, cable needle, tapestry needle

Special Stitches

C3B-dec: Sl 3 sts to cn and hold to back, k3tog, k3 sts from cn.

C3F-dec: Sl 3 sts to cn and hold to front, k3, k3tog from cn into the back of the sts.

Pattern Notes

The blanket is worked from the bottom-up in rows and the number of stitches alternate. Use stitch markers to keep track of pattern repeats as stitches increase and decrease back to original stitch count. To change width of the blanket, change cast-on by multiple of 7 sts, and work more or less rows to adjust length.

K 16 rows.

Set-up Row: K8, *pm, k7; rep from * across to last 8 sts, pm, k8. (8 sts at the beginning and end, and 7 sts between each marker)

Row 1 (RS): K8, *sm, k6, p1, yo; rep from * to last 8 sts, sm, k8. (8 sts at the beginning and end of row, and 8 sts between each marker)
Row 2 (WS): K8, *p1, k1, p6; rep from * to last 8 sts, k8.
Row 3: K8, *k6, p2, yo; rep from * to last 8 sts, k8. (8 sts at the beginning and end of row, and 9 sts between each marker)
Row 4: K8, *p1, k2, p6; rep from * to last 8 sts, k8.
Row 5: K8, *C3B-dec, p3; rep from * to last 8 sts, k8. (8 sts at the beginning and end of row, and 7 sts between each marker)
Row 6: K8, *k3, p4; rep from * to last 8 sts, k8.
Row 7: K8, *yo, p1, k6; rep from * to last 8 sts, k8. (8 sts at the beginning and end of row, and 8 sts between each marker)
Row 8: K8, *p6, k1, p1; rep from * to last 8 sts, k8.

Finishing

Weave in all ends and block the Blanket aggressively to open up the stitches.yarn ball
