Wildflower Dreams Shrug

This shrug is a simple and fun pattern to make for warmer months. It’s great to cover up your shoulders on a cooler summer evening or over a long sleeved shirt for an extra pop of color.

Size: Finished Measurement Small (Medium, Large)

Small: 24” w x 24.5” l

Medium: 26” w x 26.5” l

Large: 28” x 28.5” l

Gauge: 3 sts and 4 rows = 1” square in Garter St

Materials

Yarn:

Medium Weight Yarn Cascade Cherub Aran (55% Nylon, 45%Acrylic; 240 yards [220 meters]/100 grams): #19 Geranium, 1 skein.

Needles: US size 13 (9 mm): 22” circular

Notions: 2 Markers; tapestry needle

Pattern Notes

The shrug is worked lengthwise from side to side. To finish, fold in half lengthwise and sew each end 3” in from the side. The shrug shown is made in Medium.

CO 48, (56, 64)

Rows 1-8: Knit.

Row 9: K8, *p2, k2tog, yo, k2, p2; repeat from * 3 (4, 5) more times, k8 – 48 (56, 64 sts).

Row 10: K8, *k2, p4, k2; repeat from * 3 (4, 5) more times, k8.

Row 11: K8, *p2, k2, yo, s1kw, k1, psso, p2; repeat from * 3 (4, 5) more times, k8.

Row 12: Repeat Row 2.

Rows 13-(75, 81, 87): Repeat Rows 9-11.

Next 8 Rows: Knit.

Finishing

Fold in half lengthwise, sew in 3” from each side.
