Cabin Morning Coat

This lovely coat is easy to wear and flattering to boot — and just what you need for lounging by the campfire! It is also a study in joining techniques, with picked up stitches, kitchener stitch and a two-needle bind off.

Special Stitches

1/1/1 RPT: Sl2 to cn and hold in back, k1tbl, sl left-most st from cn to LH needle, move cn with remaining st to front, p1 from LH needle, then k1tbl from cn.

1/1/1 LPT: Sl1 to cn and hold in front, sl1 to second cn and hold in back, k1tbl, p1 from back cn, then k1tbl from front cn.

1/1 TLT:Knit into back of the second st on the LH needle do not slide off, k1tbl of first st, pull off both sts.

LLI (Left lifted increase)

Insert your right needle from back to front underneath st 2 sts below the next st on the right needle, then place this st on the left needle. Knit this st and sl it off the needle.

RLI (Right lifted increase)

Use your right needle to pull the st 1 row below the first st on your right needle, then place the st on the left needle, taking care to ensure it doesn’t slip over the st next to it. Then knit the st and sl it off the needle.
