Gauge: 20 sts and 24 rows = 4″ [10 cm] in pattern after wet blocking

Yarn: Silkindian Cotton 4ply (100% Cotton; 350 yards [320 meters]/100 grams): Dyed in shades (Pantone names) Air Blue, Marina, and Twilight Blue (2 balls)

Rowan Siena 4ply (100% Cotton; 153 yards [140 meters]/50 grams): 00668 Beacon (1 ball) for Fringe

Needles: US size 4 (3.5 mm) 24” straight or circular

Notions: Tapestry needle to weave in ends, crochet hook to attach fringe

Lace Pattern

Row 1: *K4, k2tog, k2, yo, k5, yo, k2, k2tog, k1; rep from * to end.

Row 2 and all even rows: Purl.

Row 3: *K3, k2tog, k2, yo, k1, yo, k2, k2tog, k6; rep from * to end

Row 5: *K2, k2tog, k2, yo, k3, yo, k2, k2tog, k5; rep from * to end

Row 7: *K1, k2tog, k2, yo, k5, yo, k2, k2tog, k4; rep from * to end

Row 9: *K6, k2tog, k2, yo, k1, yo, k2, k2tog, k3; rep from * to end

Row 11: *K5, k2tog, k2, yo, k3, yo, k2, k2tog, k2; rep from * to end

Row 12: Purl.

Pattern

Using Twisted German cast-on or any mildly stretchy cast-on of choice, CO 84 sts.

Row 1: *K1, yo, k2tog; rep from *to end.

Rep Row 1 for 1.5”

Set-up Row: (K1, yo, k2tog) twice for border, work Row 1 of Lace Pattern 4 times, (k1, yo, k2tog) twice for other side of border.

Keeping 2 repeats of border sts on either end, work the Lace Pattern for 62”.

BO using any stretchy bind-off method of choice.

Finishing

Weave in ends.

Fringe

Cut 14” strands and folding in half. Multiple such strands are held together for each fringe (I used 3 strands). The crochet hook is inserted from the wrong side to pull a loop of the folded yarn. The ends are evened out and are drawn through the loop and pulled tight. This gives a neat look to the fringe join.
