Evelyn Siatra

evelyn-siatra

Evelyn developed an early love for “all things handmade” when her mother taught her to crochet, knit, sew and embroider. She graduated from doll clothes to scarves and sweaters, and she loves to experiment with technique and materials. The intrepid color knitter tends towards intarsia and stranding, and as with many knitters, when she couldn’t find patterns for what she wanted to knit, she started designing her own, which can be found in her Ravelry shop. Her designs are also published in magazines and on yarn company web sites.

In 2015 she won the “People’s Choice” and “First Runner-Up” award of the “Mohair South Africa/Vogue Knitting - Warmth of Mohair Blanket Design Competition”.

She currently lives in Athens, Greece with her son and their two cats.

Isadora Sweater

The airiness of this pullover comes from the semi-lace ribbed stitch pattern which forms vertical and diagonal stripes, making it lightweight and drapey — in other words, the perfect summer sweater! The fabric opens up when worn, lending additional curves to the drop shoulder and boat neck design.
