Needles: US size 4 (3.5 mm): 24” circular and double pointed needles (DPNs)

Tank is worked in the round from the bottom edge to the underarms, then back and forth for the yoke.

When working armholes, gently tug the edges every couple of rows to ensure that the i-cord edging doesn’t bunch up.

Join Shoulders

Left Side: Place 19 (20, 23, 25, 28, 29) Left Front sts on DPN and 19 (20, 23, 25, 28, 29) sts from the left edge of the Back. Using the long tail from the front, graft shoulder together using Kitchener Stitch.

Right Side: Place 19 (20, 23, 25, 28, 29) Right Front sts on DPN and 19 (20, 23, 25, 28, 29) sts from the right edge of the Back. Using the long tail from the back, graft shoulder together using Kitchener Stitch.

Back Neck

With RS facing, pick up long tail from Right Front.

BO collar as follows: *K2, k2tog, transfer sts back to left needle; rep from * until 2 sts remain. BO rem 2 sts.

Belt

Using DPN, CO 4 sts.

Work I-cord as follows: Tug the work from the bottom after each first stitch to help it to take shape and to even out the tension

Step 1: Knit 1 row. Do not turn the work.

Step 2: Slide the sts to the other end of the needle.

Step 3: Knit a second row by bringing the yarn behind the work and starting with the first st.

Rep Steps 3-4 until Belt meas 35 (37½, 42½, 47¾, 53, 56)” / [89 (95.25, 108, 121.25, 134.5, 142.25) cm] or to desired length.

Finishing

Weave in end. Wet block to schematic measurements. Weave belt through Eyelet Round with ends in the back. yarn ball
