Crowd Goes Wild Wrist Warmers

No more keeping your hands in your pockets because it’s too cold to clap. These wrist warmers are a must have on gameday and will look great in any team’s color combination.

Skill Level: Beginner

Size: 7½” circumference x 9¼” long to fit Adult Woman.

Gauge: 18 sts and 24 rows = 4” [10 cm] in St st after blocking.

Materials

Yarn:  Caron Simply Soft (100% Acrylic; 315 yards [288 meters]/ 170 grams): 9509 Grey Heather (A), 1 skein; 9711 Dark Country Blue (B), 1 skein; 9701 White (C), 1 skein; 9707 Dark Sage (D), 1 skein

Needles: US size 6 (4 mm): DPNs

Notions: Tapestry needle; stitch marker.

Pattern Notes

This pattern is worked in the round on double pointed needles. There is ribbing on both the top and bottom of the wrist warmers. There is a simple thumb opening that will be created by binding off and then casting back on stitches. The rest of the body to the wrist warmer is worked in stockinette stitch.

Wrist Warmers (make 2)

With A, CO 32 sts. Arrange sts evenly on 3 DPNs (10 sts on needle 1, 12 sts on needle 2, and 10 sts on needle 3), pm to mark beginning of the rnd.

Rnds 1-12: *K2, p2; rep from * to end of rnd.

Rnds 13-14: Knit

Rnds 15-20: With B, knit.

Rnds 21-34: With D, knit.

Thumb Opening

Rnd 1: BO 5 sts, k to end of rnd.

Rnd 2: CO 5 sts, k to end of rnd.

Rnds 3-11: Knit.

Rnds 12-13: Switch to C, knit.

Rnds 14-20: Switch to A, *k2, p2; rep from * to end of rnd.

BO all sts est ribbing patt.

Finishing

Weave in ends. Steam block to measurements.
