Materials

Yarn: Drops Snow (100% Wool, 55 yards [50 meters]/50 grams): Sea Green (66) (MC 5 (6, 6, 7, 8, 10 12, 14) balls), Pastel Pink (30) (CC1 1 (1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4) balls), Mauve (83)(CC2 1 (1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4) balls), Hot Pink (23) (CC3 1 (1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4) balls).

Needles: US size 13 (9 mm) 16” and 24” circular needles and set of DPNS or whatever size allows you to reach gauge. US size 12 (8 mm) straight needles for pocket.

Notions: 9-16 Markers, yarn holders or waste yarn for provisional cast-on, tapestry needle, 2 lockable markers.

Abbreviations

Kfb: knit into front and then back of same stitch to inc 1 st.

K2tog: Knit two stitches together to dec 1 st.

Ssk: Slip one st purlwise, slip one stitch knitwise, return stitches to left hand needle and k two sts together through back loops.

Special Stitches

I-cord bind off: CO 3 sts, *k2, k2tog-tbl, (this is the last st of the cast on and the first st of the live sts), sl3 sts back to LH needle; rep from *.

Pattern Notes

This sweater is knit in the round from the top down. After the sts are cast on for the neck opening, a short roll over collar is worked in St st. Next, sts are increased for the color work yoke before being divided for the sleeves and body. After the body is worked and finished and bound off with an i-cord edging, sts are then place back on the needles for the sleeves. The sleeves are also finished with an i-cord bind off. The sts for the large front pocket are picked up from the front and a large heart motif is worked on the pocket.

Work in St st until the body from divide measures 19 (22, 23, 28, 30, 33, 35, 38) cm

Place Lockable Markers for Pocket

Next rnd: P25 (28, 38, 39, 42, 46, 51, 54), pm, p18 (18, 18, 18, 24, 24, 24, 24), pm, p3 (4, 6, 9, 6, 8, 9, 10).

Continue in St st for a further 2 (2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 6) cm.

Bind off using the i-cord bind off.

Sleeves (Make 2)

Return 19 (21, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31) sts on needles and rejoin MC yarn. Pick up and knit 1 (1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3) sts and join in the rnd. PM to mark beg of rnd. (20 (22, 23, 25, 27, 30, 32, 34) sts.

Sew top of pocket to front of sweater below the heart color work.

Block to dimensions given in schematic. Weave in ends when dry.
