Modern Log Cabin Blanket

Bring a fresh palette into your home with the Modern Log Cabin Blanket, a soothing project that’s as enjoyable to knit as it is to display. This design combines the charm of traditional log cabin construction with the versatility of modern knitting techniques. Reversible stitches make both sides equally beautiful and offer a unique texture and appearance. The color changes and construction give the blanket a rustic, charming character.

Pattern Notes

The schematic shows the 14 stripes in the blanket and the knitting direction.

Each stitch pattern may have a slightly different gauge. Thus, I suggest choosing a yarn with a high percentage of wool to easily adjust measurements after heavy wet blocking.

Instead of waste yarn to hold stitches you can use interchangeable needles and 2 cables, holding live sts onto cables and switching the needles as required.
