Pattern Notes

Fiorellina has a simple construction with almost no seaming. It is knit flat from the bottom up. First each sleeve is started separately and set aside until the body has been knit to the underarms. Sleeves are then knit onto the body and the shrug is finished as one piece with raglan shaping. The tiny underarm seam is then closed and as the border was knit with the garment there are no stitches to pick-up. I-cords are made and attached to serve as ties, but could be substituted for ribbons for an extra special finish.

Break yarn, place sts for first sleeve on holder, and set aside.

Work second sleeve same as first.

Then once the BO is completed there will be a worked st live on the right hand needle, this contributes the to the stitch count for the sts in the section after the BO.

Joining Sleeves

Note: when working the body and sleeves together it can get a bit tight to work the sts around the sleeve so if necessary pull out a loop from the cable of the circular needle (akin to magic loop) to relieve the tension until sufficient rows have been worked.
