Myrah Patchwork Cardigan

This chunky cardigan is fun to knit! Made with varying colors and textures, the end result is a visually inspiring piece that will be as much fun to talk about as it is to knit (and wear)!

Gauge: 9 sts and 12 rows = 4” [10 cm] in Cable pattern, blocked gently.

Yarn: Paintbox Yarns Wool Mix Super Chunk (50% acrylic, 50% wool; 60 yards [55 meters]/100 grams): #908 Light Caramel (A, 3 (3, 3, 4, 5, 5, 6, 6, 7) balls), #927 Racing Green (B, 3 (3, 3, 4, 5, 5, 6, 6, 7) balls), #906 Granite Grey (C, 2 (2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 5) balls), #907 Vanilla Cream (D, 2 (2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 5) balls), #905 Slate Grey (E, 3 (3, 3, 4, 5, 5, 6, 6, 7) balls)

Needles: US size 17(12 mm) 60” circular needles

Notions: Cable needle, tapestry needle

Special Stitches

Bobble: (K1, yo, k1, yo, k1) in indicated st, turn, p5, turn, k5tog.

K4Below: K1 in st 4 rows below.

C2F: Sl 2 sts to cn and hold to front of work, k2, k2 from cn.

Pattern Notes

This pattern is worked in flat panels, and seamed at the shoulders, around the sleeve, and down the side seam. The neckline is picked up and knitted at the end.

Finishing

Use C for seaming.

With RS held together, sew front panels to back panel at shoulders. Match center of top of sleeve with shoulder seam, and sew sleeve to body. Match cuff, sleeve and body and sew side and sleeve seams. Weave in all ends.

Front Band

Join C to bottom front panel. Pick up and k37 (39, 45, 43, 45, 51, 54, 57, 60) sts up front panel, 6 (2, 2, 2, 4, 4, 6, 6, 4) sts across back neckline, and 37 (39, 45, 43, 45, 51, 54, 57, 60) sts down front panel. (80 (80, 92, 88, 94, 106, 114, 120, 124) sts)

Rows 1-4 (4, 4, 4, 4, 6, 6, 6, 6): [K1, p1] across.

BO all sts. Weave in ends.
