How to Knit the Double Seed Stitch

Looking for a simple way to add intriguing texture to your knitted pieces? This variation of the traditional seed stitch creates larger “seeds” by stacking knit and purl stitches. It might sound complicated, but we promise it’s simple to master! Before you begin, just make sure you cast on an even number of stitches in multiples of 4 to create a beautiful project rich with texture.

Can you show on English version of knitting? Why 99.9% of the websites are showing everything Continental way of knitting . My personal opinion in this case would be that you are only know how to knit Continental style knitting and or maybe you are not showing anything in English. because you are not interested in that style of knitting. If you don’t mind can you share your thoughts on this subject! Thank you ! Magdalena

    • Hi Magdalena, I believe this designer simply prefers Continental style and so that’s how she’s holding the yarn in this tutorial. To my knowledge, the stitches are still completed in the same way; you are simply holding the working yarn in your other hand. So hopefully video tutorials are still helpful regardless of whether you knit Continental or English style. -Dana, Editor
