Daisy Headscarf

Bring some sunshine to your outfit with a bright and cheerful headscarf. This perfect little project, inspired by the summer sunshine, beautiful flowers and lazy days, is great for travel knitting.

Size: Front edge measures 20.5” [52cm]

Gauge: 28 sts and 37 rows = 4” [10cm] in St st after blocking

Materials

Yarn: Knitpicks Palette (100% peruvian highland wool; 231 yards [211 meters]/50 grams): #25531 Canary (MC, 1 ball), #24249 Sweet Potato (CC, 1 ball)
Needles: US size 3 (3.25 mm) straight or circular needles
Notions: Ribbon

Abbreviations

P1fb: Purl 1 front and back (1 st inc).
Cdd: Slip 2 sts together knitwise, k1, pass 2 slipped sts over.
Ssk: Slip 2 stitches separately knitwise, insert left needle into back of sts and k tog.
Sssk: Slip 3 stitches separately knitwise, insert left needle into back of sts and k tog.

Pattern Notes

The headscarf is worked flat starting from the front edge and working to the point at the back. The flower patterns are created using yarn overs for a lace effect and a garter edge prevents curling.
