This simple top contains classic seaside colors and a flattering stripe pattern. Finished off with contrasting button details, this is a new favorite silhouette for the season.

Fine weight yarnYarn: Cascade Yarns Ultra Pima Fine (100% Cotton; 136 yards [125 meters]/50 grams): 3736 (MC, 5 (6, 6, 7, 8, 9) skeins), 3728 (CC1, 1 skein for all sizes), 3810 (CC2, 1 skein for all sizes).

Needles: US size 3 (3.75 mm) 16” circular, US size 3 (3.75 mm) 32” circular

Notions Markers, stitch holders, tapestry needle, six or seven 5/8” buttons

Special Stitches

TLLI (Left lifted increase)

Insert your right needle from back to front underneath stitch two stitches below the next stitch on the right needle, then place this stitch on the left needle. Knit this stitch tbl, and slip it off the needle.

TRLI (Right lifted increase)

Use your right needle to pull the stitch one row below the first stitch on your right needle, then place the stitch on the left needle, taking care to ensure it doesn’t slip over the stitch next to it. Then knit the stitch tbl and slip it off the needle.

Neck Edging

Fold Neck Hem at purl ridge and whip stitch in place.

Rnd 1: With CC1, CO 9, pm, CO 69 (69, 73, 73, 77, 77), then with RS facing and CC1, PU 69 (69, 73, 73, 77, 77) sts along diagonal of Right Front neck opening, pm, PU 9 through both layers of Neck Hem, place special marker for beg of rnd. Sleeve Edging

With CC1, PU 8 (14, 20, 28, 38, 50) sts along bottom of Armhole, PU 21 (33, 35, 37, 38, 38) sts along side Sleeve Edge, PU 22 (24, 28, 28, 28, 28) sts along Sleeve top, PU 21 (33, 35, 37, 38, 38) sts along side of Sleeve Edge. Join in the rnd. (72 (104, 118, 130, 142, 154) sts)

Rnd 1: Knit around.

Rep Rnd 1 for 1”.

Next Rnd: Purl around.

Next Rnd: Knit around.

Rep last rnd until 1” from purl ridge.

BO all sts loosely.

Finishing

Turn and whip stitch down bottom, neck and sleeve edging.

Weave in ends. Block to schematic measurements.
