Mirielle Tee

Mirielle uses a deceptively simple stripe pattern to create the illusion of randomness. With a trendy waistband and large open sleeves, this tee is a must-have piece for the end of summer weather.

Needles: US size 3 (3.75 mm) 16” and 32” circular, US size 3 (3.75 mm) DPNs, US size 0 (2 mm), US size 2 (3.5 mm) 32” circular.

Special Stitches

LLI (Left lifted increase)

Insert your right needle from back to front underneath stitch two stitches below the next stitch on the right needle, then place this stitch on the left needle. Knit this stitch, and slip it off the needle.

RLI (Right lifted increase)

Use your right needle to pull the stitch one row below the first stitch on your right needle, then place the stitch on the left needle, taking care to ensure it doesn’t slip over the stitch next to it. Then knit the stitch and slip it off the needle.

Sl1 wyib: Slip one with yarn in back.

Sl1 wyif: Slip one with yarn in front.

With C3, RS facing, and medium needles, PU 192 (208, 232, 264, 288) sts along edge of Waist Band. Place marker and join in the rnd.

Rnds 1-5: Knit.

Switch to MC and larger needles.

Rnd 6: [Pick up purl bump from first rnd and knit together with next st] around.

Rnd 7: [K24 (26, 29, 33, 36), m1] around. (200 (216, 240, 272, 296) sts)

Place marker 50 (54, 60, 68, 74) sts from beg and end of rnd.

Knit 5 rnds even.

Place sts from lifeline onto second circular needle. Use 3-needle BO method to attach lifeline sts to final sts.

Top

With C3, RS facing, and medium needles, PU 192 (208, 232, 264, 288) sts along edge of Waist Band. Place marker and join in the round.

Switch to CC2.

Rnd 1: Knit and place lifeline.

Knit 5 rnds even. Place sts from lifeline onto second circular needle. Use 3-needle BO method to attach lifeline sts to final sts.

Finishing

With C2, apply 4 st I-cord to neck opening.

Sew top of neck opening together.

Block to schematic measurements.

Weave in ends.
