Size: 16” square (to fit a 16” square pillow form)

Gauge: 20 sts and 24 rows = 4” [10 cm] in St st after wet blocking

Yarn:

Medium Weight Yarn Knit Picks Swish Worsted (100% superwash merino wool; 110 yards [101 meters]/50 grams): #24095 Delft Heather (4 balls)
Needles: US size 7 (4.5 mm) straight or 24” circular needles
Notions: Markers, cable needle, tapestry needle, 16” pillow form

Special Stitches

8-st LC: Sl 4 sts on cn and hold to front, k4, k4 from cn.

Pattern Notes

The pillow is worked flat in pieces from the bottom-up and seamed together using Kitchener Stitch.

Pillow (Make Two)

CO 78 sts.
K 3 rows.
Row 1 (RS): K20, p4, k8, p3, k8, p3, k8, p4, k20.
Row 2 (WS): P20, k4, p30, k4, p20.
Rows 3-8: Rep Rows 1-2, 3 times.
Row 9: K20, p4, 8-st LC, p3, 8-st LC, p3, 8-st LC, p4, k20.
Row 10: P20, k4, p30, k4, p20.
Rep Rows 1-10 until piece measures 15½”, ending with a WS row.
K 3 rows.
Loosely BO all sts.

Finishing

Assembly: Place back and front pieces together with wrong sides facing and seam three sides using the Kitchener Stitch method. Place pillow form inside and seam along the last side. yarn ball
