Special Stitches

2/1RPC: Sl 1 st to cn at back, k2, p1 from cn.

2/1LPC: Sl 2 sts to cn at front, p1, k2 from cn.

2/2RPC: Sl 2 sts to cn at back, k2, p2 from cn.

2/2LPC: Sl 2 sts to cn at front, p2, k2 from cn.

2/2RC: Sl 2 sts to cn at back, k2, k2 from cn.

2/2LC: Sl 2 sts to cn at front, k2, k2 from cn.

M1: Insert left needle from front to back picking up the horizontal strand between stitches. K through back loop, twisting the new stitch.

Pattern Notes

If following the charted version, the first and last three stitches are in garter stitch (knit every row). These stitches are included in the written directions below.

Cowl: After the cast on, Work the cable pattern Rows 17-24. Then work Rows 1-24 twice. Work rows 1-15 once. Undo provisional cast on, putting stitches on a spare needle. Kitchener stitch in pattern. Continue with finishing.
