Rows 6-10: K.
Row 11: Loosely BO kwise.
Assembly
1. Fold garter rows of scrunchie over elastic cord, use tapestry needle and 2 yards of thread to whipstitch st bumps of bind off row to st bumps of row 6 to form elastic casing, being sure not to catch the elastic cord.
2. Pull ends of elastic cord to create desired circumference of scrunchie and knot ends securely. Trim elastic ends to 1.5-inch length and use tapestry needle to thread back through casing.
3. Sew short ends of scrunchie together.
Double Layer Scrunchie

Assembly
1. With BO edges RS together, use 1.5-yard length of thread and tapestry needle to whipstitch top sts of both layers together to form center seam.
2. Fold scrunchie layers WS together having elastic along seam. From RS use tapestry needle and 1.5-yard length of thread to sew short straight stitches parallel to and approximately 1/8 inch above elastic to form casing.
3-4. Rep steps 2-3 of Single Layer Scrunchie.
Hi-Lo Scrunchie
Make 2
