Yarn: Malabrigo Rios (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 210 yards [192 meters] / 100grams): 213 Pines; 2 [3, 3] hanks.
Needles: US Size 8 (5 mm), 32″ circular
Notions: Cable needle, tapestry needle; 1 stitch marker
Special stitches
1/1 RC: Sl 1 st on cable needle and hold at back, knit next st from left hand needle, then knit st from cable needle.
1/1 LC: Sl 1 st on cable needle and hold at front, knit next st from left hand needle, then knit st from cable needle.
Pattern notes
The pattern is written for magic loop but can easily be modified for double pointed needles.
Pattern
CO 90 (100, 110) sts. Pm for beg of rnd and join to work in the rnd. (90 (100, 110) sts)
Round 1: (P2, k1, p2, k5) 9 (10, 11) times.
Round 2: Sm, (p2, sl1 kwise wyib, p2, 1/1 LC, sl1 kwise wyib, 1/1 RC) 9 (10, 11) times.
Round 3: Sm, (p2, k1, p2, k5) 9 (10, 11) times.
Rep rows 2-3 until work measures about 12″ / 30 cm or desired length.
Finishing
BO loosely with your preferred stretchy bind off (I used the sewing bind off).
Weave in ends and block.
