Skill Level: Easy

Size: 6.5 (7, 7.5)” hand circumference x 6.75” length

Gauge: 30 sts and 44 rows = 4” [10 cm] in St st after wet blocking


Yarns: Harrisville Designs Shetland Fingering (100% Pure Wool; 217 yards [198 meters]/50 grams): #53 Silver Mist, 1 skein.

Super fine weight yarn

Needles: US size 2 (2.75 mm)

Notions: Tapestry needle

Special Stitches

K2, P2 Rib

Row 1: *K2, p2; rep from * to end of row.

Rep Row 1 for patt.

Stitch Pattern

Row 1 (RS): Knit.

Row 2 (WS): Purl.

Rows 3-6: Rep Rows 1-2.

Row 7 (RS): Purl.

Row 8 (WS): K2, ssk, yo, (k4, ssk, yo) 7 (7, 8) times, k2 (6, 4).

Rep Rows 1-8 for patt.

Pattern Notes

Fingerless Mitts are worked flat from the cuff up, then seamed, leaving an opening for thumb.


Mitts (make 2)

CO 48 (52, 56) sts.

Work in K2, P2 Rib for 2”.

Work Rows 1-8 of Stitch Pattern 5 times total.

Rep Rows 1-6 of Stitch Pattern once more.

Work Rows 1-2 of K2, P2 Rib patt.

BO in rib patt.


Block as desire.

Sew side seam, leaving an opening for thumb.

Weave in all ends.
