Almost Autumn Cowl

Worked up in an easy pattern repeat, the Almost Autumn Cowl is a lighter cowl that’s perfect for those brisker fall nights. The variegated ginger yarn mimics the yellow leaves still lingering in the trees while the seed ribbing pattern repeat lets you work this design quickly.

Size: 11.5’’ wide x 14’’ high

Gauge: 24 sts x 4’’ in ribbing pattern

Materials

Yarn:

Super fine weight yarn Madelinetosh Sock (100% merino; 365 yards [334 meters]/120 grams): Ginger (1 skein)
Needles: US size 4 (3.5 mm) 24’’ circular needles
Notions: Yarn needle 

Abbreviations

Sl1-k1-psso: Slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit one, pass slipped st over
Sl2-k1-p2sso: Slip 2 stitches as if to knit, knit one, pass slipped sts over

Pattern

Using Long Tail Cast on, CO 152 sts, pm and join in the roud being careful not to twist your sts.

Work Seed Ribbing Pattern

Rnd 1: *k3, p1, repeat from * to end.
Rnd 2: P1, k1, *p3, k1, repeat from * to 2 sts before end, p2.
Repeat rounds 1 and 2 (6) times in total.
Work Chart 5 times in total.
Repeat Seed Ribbing Pattern 6 times in total, bind off, block lightly and weave in ends.
