Pattern Notes

This pattern uses a vertical fake Latvian braid technique called pin striping. Pin stripping adds vertical columns of knit stitches to a finished piece using a crochet hook. This means you only have to be concerned with the horizontal stripes when knitting the bags, adding the vertical green stripes afterwards during the finishing. The bags are worked in the round from the top down. The pin striping is worked before applied i-cord edging is added along the top of the bag. The bags can be lined with fabric for stability. Lastly i-cord handles are added and a daisy corsage to complete the purse.
