I would like to make a baby blanket. What amount would I cast on for that
Hi there, looking at the stitch pattern beginning row 1, there are 5 repeats – I would suggest working the pattern in one or two fewer repeats to get a narrower start for a baby blanket. If you just do 4 repeats, the blanket will be something like 33″ wide roughly, so a really nice width, then you can work the pattern as tall as you want before finishing the border. If you remove one of the middle repeat, that’s 37 fewer sts, so cast on 181. You may need to swatch a bit to make sure my math is right and the size is what you’re looking for. You want to make sure you’re framing out the pattern with 10 sts for the build in border on each site, and 19 sts for the seed st sections beside each border. Then each cable it looks like is separated by 25 sts. I hope that helps! -Dana, Editor

Hi, i would to like make this blanket in size 200 cm x 220 cm from himalaya everyday antipilling yarn. Could you please tell me how many skeins of this yarn will I need?
Hi Marta,
I would compare the yardage (and other factors) between the two yarn lines and make a decision that way:
