Join to work in the rnd, placing a marker to indicate beg of rnd and being careful not to twist sts.

Cut yarn leaving a 10” tail. Draw through remaining stitches. Draw through first stitch once more. Pull taut. Fasten yarn on wrong side.

Wet block to shape. Weave in ends.

Optional: Make or buy Pom. Attach to top of hat. If your pom has strings, I recommend placing a button (with holes large enough to accommodate yarn) on the inside top of the hat and feeding the tails through before tying a bow. This stabilizes the Pom and won’t stretch out the holes where you’ve fed the tails of the Pom through.
