Needles: US size 4 (3.5 mm) circular (24”) needles, US size 5 (4.0 mm) circular (24”) needles and set of 4 double-pointed needles

With smaller needles, CO 144 (153, 162) sts. Place marker (m) and join for working in the round. Beginning on Rnd 2, work Vintage Stitch through Rnd 13. Change to larger needles and continue Vintage Stitch through Rnd 32. Repeat Rnds 1-32 until hat measures a finished length of 10 1/4 (10 1/4, 14)” from cast-on edge, ending with Rnd 26.
