Jack Fair Isle Scarf

Jack is a great introduction to Fair Isle knitting. The majority of the patterns are simple three- or four-stitch repeats divided by solid-colored stripes. It begins with ribbed ends that are worked back and forth then overlapped, creating a faux-buttoned closure. The remainder is worked circular in two halves. They are joined at the center with Kitchener stitch, creating a mirror image of the pattern. Because the scarf is worked circular, ends can be left inside rather than working them in. Jack is for the man in your life that appreciates knitting!
