Rita Taylor

Rita Taylor has been a keen knitter since childhood, inventing items of clothing for her two teddy bears. While living in Scotland she became interested in the traditional knits of that country, especially Fair Isles and Shetland lace.  Now that she lives in Norfolk she has developed a keen interest in fishermen’s ganseys. But she is passionate about all types of knitting and thinks it is important to continue to pass on the traditional skills to others.

She is a keen cyclist and artist and loves to get inspiration for her designs and paintings from the countryside around her.

Joy of Lace Scarf

Blocks of lace in muted jewel tones come together in this scarf that is warm and fun to twirl. Color blocking is made fun by working a lovely lace stitch throughout the entire scarf and finished off with chunky tassels.
