My grandmother taught me to knit when I was six years old and I have been an avid knitter ever since. I grew up on a small island in Canada and now live in Scotland. I frequently work with my two sisters with these designs even though we have become geographically dispersed across Canada, England, and Scotland. My design style is classic with a modern twist. These designs range from simple pullovers and scarves to intricate lace shawls and fair isle accessories. I find inspiration from a range of places but often this inspiration comes from nature. You can find all of our designs on Ravelry under our design name MunroSisters3.

Wayfaring Leaves Ankle Socks

These ankle socks are inspired by the geometric design of leaves and are worked in a beautiful Fair Isle pattern. Knit from the top down with two colors of yarn that show off the ankle ribbing, heel, and toe, the heel is worked as a flap and gusset heel and the toe is grafted as a wedge toe. The end result is a beautiful Fair Isle design that gives a subtle nod to nature.
