Short Row Shaping

Short rows help a lot in better shaping the garment to fit. When you are working on purl-side, take the yarn to the back of work between the two needles, slip the next stitch to the right-hand needle, bring the yarn back to the front between the needles and slip the stitch back to the left-hand needle. Turn your work and continue as instructed.
On the knit-side, take the yarn to the front of work between the two needles, slip the next stitch to the right-hand needle, take the yarn back to the back between the needles and slip the stitch back to the left-hand needle. Turn your work and continue as instructed.
On the purl-side, when it is time to take out the wraps, purl until you reach the stitch that was wrapped, bring the wrap up onto the left-hand needle and purl it together with the stitch itself.
