White Winter Rose Headband

Gauge: 2 stitches long by 2 rows high = 1 sq. inch

Materials

Yarn: Lion Brand Wool Ease (80% acrylic, 20% wool; 197 yards [180 meters]/85 grams): Natural Heather (1 skein)
Needles: US size 17 (12.0 mm) and US size 10 (6.0 mm) needles
Notions: Yarn needle

Pattern

Headband

CO 12 sts.
*Work in knit 2, purl 2 across the row.
Repeat from * until the work measures 22”.
Cast off with a long yarn end. Thread the yarn end into a needle, bring the 2 ends of the rectangle together, and sew together to form a tube. Weave yarn ends into the finished work.

Flower

With worsted weight, and smaller needles, cast on 10 stitches.
Row 1: K.
Row 2: P.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 until the work measures approx. 10” long.
CO, being sure to leave a long tail.
Thread the yarn end into a needle.
Sew the 2 ends of the rectangle together.
Fold the work in half and weave the needle through the ends.
Pull to gather up the center of the flower.
Sew a button in the center.
