Solène Le Roux

I live in Paris where I started designing knitwear after studying History and History of Arts. Crafts are for me a family tradition, my grandmother was a professional seamstress and I learned to knit from my mother. Knitting is a way for me to connect with my heritage while creating something truly unique. Using natural yarns, I design highly wearable accessories and garments with interesting textures and colorwork. My patterns have been published in Pom Pom Quarterly, Knit Picks and Knit Now and I also have a collection of self-published patterns available through Ravelry. My goal is to inspire knitters in their creative journey, to give them the means to progress in their craft and to make knits they will love and wear with pride for a very long time.

Wild Honey Cowl

This cowl is a bigger, cozier version of the original Fiercely Autumn Cowl published in the August 2017 issue. The tweedy aspect of the Arranmore yarn gives a slightly rustic and fashionable look to this intemporal stitch pattern made of ribbing and cables for a cowl that you will want to wear all autumn long.

Scenic Route Cardigan

What is summer without long drives with the windows down? This raglan cardigan will be the perfect attire for such a trip, thanks to its relaxed shape and delightful trellis-like lace pattern. It is knit from the top down using long circular needles.

Summer Festival Tank

Short and cropped tops are the in thing for summer style, and this top does not disappoint. The fringed bottom gives the cabled tank an edginess that would be perfect paired with jean shorts—and a concert or festival celebrating long summer days.

Fiercely Autumn Cowl

The woman who wears this cowl will not be outdone by the brilliant red hues of the changing leaves. The texture it gains from the cables and ribbing makes this cowl stand out from the crowd for a season of bold autumn fashion.
