Aud Bergo

I live and work in Norway and have been knitting for more than 40 years, but just the last years taken up the interest of making my own pattern. It is a great joy and inspiration to see others making their own lovely projects from my pattern. That’s what keep me going.

I love playing with colors so most of my patterns are colorworks, but lace and cables are also great.

My patterns are listed in Ravelry. I have previously published patterns in Norwegian knitting magazines, twist collective, Knit Picks and by Interweave.

Deep Sea Striped Socks

From The Sock Knitting Patterns Collection

These socks are worked top down with a heel flap and gusset decreases. Instead of an evenly repeating stripe pattern, the contrast color is used with varying distance, giving thicker and thinner stripes of main color. Using garter sts in the vertical pattern panel along the front make an extra striping effect for the color changes.
