June 2022: Table of Contents

Picture this: Your ticket is booked for a dream vacation and now it’s time to decide what to knit for your summer adventures. To make it easier to assemble a vacation’s worth of chic knits, we asked our designers to look to the sea, the sand, and the sun for inspiration.

Start the search for your passport and break out your suitcase from storage because these knits are going to take you places. Whether you prefer pops of color or classic neutrals, we have new tops to knit in every shade under the sun. Knit with toes-in-the-sand spirit, these pieces will transport you to your favorite beach this summer.

The centerpiece of the collection, the Sloane Linen Beach Cardigan, is a linen knit that catches the summer breeze perfectly. We’re declaring this cardigan the official layer of summer.

Transport yourself to the tropics with the Monstera Leaf Wrap, which can be cleverly turned into a blanket with its repeating and stackable chart. Be sure to say hello to Seymour the Sea Turtle, a knit toy that both adults and children will love.

Destination: Paradise. Consider these knitting patterns your virtual boarding pass.

Happy summer knitting,
Caitlin Eaton

Introducing the beach cardigan: Sloane is the official layer of summer sunsets. 100% linen yarn makes a perfectly weathered texture and Qunice & Co’s Kestrel does not disappoint. The ribbon structure of this yarn adds a slight texture to simple knit and purl stitches. Not only does this yarn knit up quickly at 4 stitches per inch, the resulting fabric has incredible drape and gets better with every wash and wear. An easy fit you can wear off the shoulder for casual shoreline strolls. The cardigan is worked in rows from bottom up. Both front ribbing bands are continued and worked until a three-needle bind off combines at the center back neck. After a few shaping short rows, the sleeves are worked in-the-round down to the cuffs. Read More
