April 2023: Table of Contents

As the cold weather fades and signs of life burst from the once-frozen ground, it’s hard not to get excited about the new season head: spring! Along with the shift in seasons, comes a desire to create fresh, bold and bright designs that honor the beauty all around us. In this brand new issue of I Like Knitting, we’ve asked our designers to inspire you with 13+ fresh spring patterns meant to get your creativity flowing. With earth-inspired projects using eco friendly yarn, to fun and flirty designs fit for any spring wardrobe, to adorable mommy and me ensembles perfect for holidays, Mother’s Day and beyond, we hope to make this season your most inspired one to date.

Start with Earth Day, Every Day section featuring my personal favorite from the issue (and our cover project): the Patchwork Earth Blanket. This modern design combines a simple rib with playful blocks of color to create a gorgeous textured blanket that everyone will love. The Mountainscape Pillow is another must-make project inspired by nature. I just adore how this piece turned out and I think you will too.

Next, explore our Top Choices section which boasts bold, flirty and fun designs perfect for any spring get together. The detail in some of these pieces (especially the Rayanna Cables Top) is sure to inspire you.
And don’t forget about the little ones. From a vibrant baby blanket to beautiful mommy and me matching floral purses, this issue has fun written all over it.

Happy spring,
Caitlin
