High Contrast Top

This high contrast top is modern and fresh. The linen blend yarn gives the top a good drape for casual or dressed-up styles. Easily adjust for longer or shorter length with this pattern to your liking.

Pattern Notes

The top is worked flat bottom-up. Shoulders are worked separately and seamed using 3-needle bind-off.

Change colour in the middle of the piece. The colour is always worked on the sts of same colour on the previous row. The change of colour in pattern is only mentioned on the cast on row.

There is 1 selvedge stitch in each side

Move the unworked middle sts of Front and Back from stitch holder to needle.

With C2 starting on the join on Left Shoulders, pick up 21 (21, 23, 23, 25) sts along Front neck slope, k the unworked middle sts, pick up 21 (21, 23, 23, 25) sts along the other slope.

Pick up 5 sts along the back neck slope, k the unworked middle sts, pick up 5 sts along the other slope.

Work 1×1 ribbing for 6 rnds.
