Tori Double Flutter Sleeve Top

Tori is a unique colorblocked top that features several gorgeous shades of blue. With a cleverly placed double edge to create the illusion of layered sleeves, this top is an interesting knit to add to your summer-to-fall wardrobe.

Special Stitches

Left lifted increase (LLI): Insert your left needle from back to front underneath stitch two stitches below the next stitch on the right needle. Knit this stitch through the back loop, and slip it off the needle.

Right lifted increase (RLI): Use your right needle to pull the knit stitch one row below the first stitch on your right needle, then place the stitch on the left needle, taking care to ensure it doesn’t slip over the stitch next to it. Then knit the stitch and slip it off the needle.

Sssk: Slip 3 sts individually knitwise, slip back, and knit 3 together through back loop.

Sssp: Slip 3 sts individually knitwise, slip back, and purl 3 together through back loop.

Pattern Notes

At the color change on the same row, interlock yarns by placing the old color over the new color and picking up the new color from below to avoid holes from forming at the color change. Body is worked in the round from the bottom up until after the waistband, where it is split and worked back and forth. Sleeves are worked in the round, from the bottom up.
