Malabrigo Caprino (80% Superfine Merino, 20% Cashmere) 164 yards [150 meters]/50 g): Pine 213 (CC1; 2 skeins), Frank Ocre 035 (CC3; 1 skeins).
Malabrigo Mohair (72% Mohair, 28% Silk); 229 yards [210 meters]/25 g): Indiecita 416 (CC2;1 skein).
Needles: US size 4/3.5 mm needles.
Notions: Scissors, tapestry needle, waste yarn and additional needle for the 3-needle bind-off.

Pattern Notes
The capelet is constructed flat, utilizing a bias technique throughout the knitting process. Once the piece is completed, it is twisted before seaming, which creates an effect like a Moebius construction.
Yarn should be cut after the completion of each stripe section. This ensures clean color transitions and prevents tangling as you switch between the different yarns specified in the pattern.
The pattern is designed to begin with a provisional cast-on (CO) so that the finishing can be completed with a three-needle bind-off (BO). This method produces a seamless edge, enhancing the overall appearance of the capelet. However, knitters have the flexibility to choose their preferred bind-off technique. If you opt for an alternative bind-off, a provisional cast-on is not necessary, and you may use any standard cast-on method you prefer.
It is recommended to block the capelet before seaming. Blocking the finished piece prior to joining the ends will help even out the stitches, set the shape, and ensure that the bias and twist lay smoothly. This step is especially beneficial for achieving a professional and polished appearance in the final garment.

With CC1 provisional CO 100 sts,
Row 1 (RS): K1, pbf, k1, *p1, k1; rep from * to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1.
Row 2 (WS): K2, *p1, k1; rep from * to end.
Rows 3-16: Rep last 2 rows 7 more times.
Rows 17-24: With CC2, rep [Rows 1-2] 4 times.
Rows 25-28: With CC3, rep [Rows 1-2] 2 times.
Rows 29-36: With CC2, rep [Rows 1-2] 4 times.
Rows 37-44: With CC1, rep [Rows 1-2] 4 times.
Rows 45-60: With CC2, rep [Rows 1-2] 8 times.
Rows 61-68: With CC1, rep [Rows 1-2] 4 times.
Rows 69-276: Repeat Rows [17-68] 4 times.

Cut yarn leaving a long tail for the 3-needle bind off.
Finishing
Place live sts on waste yarn and wash and block to desired measurements.
To join the ends of your piece, begin by placing both the provisional CO and the live sts onto needles. Carefully twist the fabric as indicated in the schematic to achieve the proper orientation. Using the 3-needle (or your preferred) BO method, BO the stitches by joining edge A to edge A and edge B to edge B, as shown in the schematic.
Cut yarn and weave in ends.
