Pattern Notes

This hooded scarf is built from the top and begins with a flat rectangular crown; once this piece is complete, stitches are picked up along both long edges to form the hood body, which is worked downward to the neckline. At this point, the scarf panels are created side to side by casting new stitches on each side and grafting them seamlessly to the live neck stitches. Scarf is shaped with decreases to create a more elegant, tapered silhouette.

Both yarns are worked together.
If preferred, you can bind off the hood at the neckline and work the scarf panels separately, attaching them later with a clean seam.
