Mock cables frame a beautiful traveling stitch pattern that evokes a set of leaves, and the nupps create the perfect touch of texture.
In this pattern, the nupps are completed by knitting the stitches together through the back loops on the wrong side. There are five stitches to work together, so get out those pointy needles! (You can also use a crochet hook to wrangle the yarn through the five stitches.)
The Mock Cabled Mitts include all of the best features of mitten and glove patterns, including perhaps the most important, the thumb gusset. This technique uses strategically placed increases to make room for the base of your thumb—adding that extra bit of fabric makes these mitts fit perfectly.
Although this an intermediate pattern, it’s perfect for the adventurous, advanced beginner. You’ll practice so many skills and end up with a beautiful and useful finished product.

I have gone around in a couple of circles trying to download the current Estonian-nupp fingerless mittens. The ones that you are showing today. I tried to log in and you did not recognize my password so I went through the “change password” routine. Managed to log in and got to gold club but could not find the mittens. This has taken quite a lot of time and frustration. Can you PLEASE send me a link that will take me to the mittens? I have not had this happen previously and it has been a difficult experience.
