Be Mine Turtleneck Sweater

This Sweater is one part of a matching set that is perfect for a Valentine’s Day date! Paired with the Maci Pocket Skirt, The Heart’s Content Sweater is an uber-cozy and luxe pullover that is equal parts retro and modern. The addition of mohair to this project makes it all the more fluffy and warm. With a simple and meditative top-down yoke construction, what’s not to love? And the added heart details are the cherry on top!

Gauge: 12 sts and 16 rows = 4” [10 cm] in Stockinette st after wet blocking

Yarn:

Amano Yana (100% fine Highland wool; 175 yards [160 meters]/200 grams): 1320 Rose Macaroon (MC, 4 (4, 5, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7) skeins), 1307 Berry Crush (CC, 1 skein)

 

Lace weight yarn

Berroco Aerial (65% kid mohair, 35% silk; 284 yards [260 meters]/25 grams) 3411 Tea Rose (3 (3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 5) balls)

 

 

Needles: US size 10½ (6.5 mm) 16’’, 24’’ circular needles, DPNs or long cable for magic loop.

Notions: Markers, waste yarn for holding stitches, tapestry needle

Abbreviations

Kfb – knit into front and back of same stitch (1 st increased)

Pattern Notes

This sweater is worked top-down in the round.

After blocking, duplicate stitch embroidery is utilized for the heart details on either shoulder.

Hold 1 strand of mohair together with MC only throughout.

With CC, take tapestry needle and duplicate stitch heart following Heart On My Sleeve Chart over 11 sts and 13 rows onto upper sleeves. Weave in ends.

      Hello Michele! A stitchmarker for this pattern is only used to mark the beginning/ending of rounds! There are no increase or decrease points that need to be marked.
