This reversible scarf features two visually stimulating wavy patterns that complement each other no matter which way the scarf is worn. Using eyelets and strategically placed knits and purls, this scarf swirls effortlessly around your neck.

Yarn: Berroco Vintage (52% acrylic, 40% wool, 8% nylon; 217 yards [198 meters]/100 grams): #51180 Grapefruit (2 hanks)
Needle: US size 7 (4.5 mm) straight needles
Notions: Tapestry needle 

Pattern Notes

Change to a larger needle size if your fabric is too stiff.
Slip stitches purlwise with yarn in front, except where indicated otherwise.

CO 36 sts.
Work 12 rows in Garter stitch.
Row 1: K10, [p4, k4] 3 times, k2.
Row 2: S1, k9, [p4, k4] 3 times, k2.
Row 3: S1, k5, [p1, k4, p3] 3 times, k6.
Row 4: S1, k8, [p4, k4] 3 times, k3.
Row 5: S1, k5, [p2, k4, p2] 3 times, k6.
Row 6: S1, k3, [k4, p4] 3 times, k8.
Row 7: S1, k5, [p3, k4, p1] 3 times, k6.
Row 8: S1, k2, [k4, p4] 3 times, k9.
Row 9: S1, k1, [k4, p4] 3 times, k10.
Row 10: S1, k1, [k4, p4] 3 times, k10.
Row 11: S1, k5, [yo, p2tog twice, k3, yo, p1] 3 times, k6.

Knit 12 rows of Garter stitch.
BO all stitches purlwise.
Weave in ends and block gently so as not to flatten ripples entirely. yarn ball
