Classic cables alternate with openwork in this jacket. Worked in separate pieces, the pattern creates a self-scalloping lower edge. The short, set-in sleeves are finished with reverse single crochet, as is the body and small, stand-up collar.

Two strands of yarn are held together for entire garment.
To make keeping track of pattern sequence easier, place a marker before and after each 10-stitch cable panel.
When armhole, neck, or sleeve shaping falls within mesh pattern area, make sure to keep stitch count correct. Each yo must be accompanied by a decrease or increase that is not part of the shaping.
